Dr. Michael Yeung received the APS Rising Star Award
Dr Michael Yeung was presented with the Rising Star Award by the Association for Psychological Science (APS) in 2025. This honor recognizes early-career researchers with innovative work that advances psychology. Dr. Yeung specializes in neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience, focusing on executive functions and socioemotional skills, especially in autism. He secured research funding from RGC (2022) for studying executive development in autism using fNIRS, and from ITC (2024) for developing EEG-fNIRS neurofeedback methods to aid brain training in autistic children.
